How Being Cross Eyed Created A Hero
Do you have a childhood hero? I actually have a child for a hero. My son was severely cross eyed and has positively affected many lives around the world. The interesting thing however is that he is completely unaware of his impact on others.

You see, my child has strabismus. That’s right, my child is cross eyed. Actually his condition is not noticeable to an untrained eye as his condition has been treated by eye surgery (actually eye muscle surgery). He is however, under continued care by his ophthalmologist (eye doctor) to ensure that his eyes remain aligned and that he does not develop amblyopia or “lazy eye” which would then be treated with eye patch therapy.

Eye problems are very common among children. Yet what makes our story unique is how my son’s attitude, confidence, and perseverance has turned a simple written documentary into what is becoming one of our generation’s great inspirational stories. Our journey is one of struggle, both physically and emotionally and while our journey began as a fight against strabismus, it is viewed by others as a story of hope, faith, and inspiration.
